Botched Ink® is a salt based tattoo removal solution, salt dries out skin, kills bacteria and acts as a preservative; just think what salt does to pork fat or salami. When Botched Ink® is implanted into skin, the area quickly dries out. If the skin contains tattoo pigment this will dry out too, lifting and removing the pigment during the skins natural healing process

During your initial consultation we take a thorough history of your tattoo, how many treatments and top ups you’ve had, when was the last treatment etc. This helps me understand your tattoo and skin better and advise. As a guide, we always recommend a client mentally and financially commits to a course of 3 treatments, then we can assess how easily the pigment is removing and form the next plan
After treatment is completed you can expect the strength of the colour to last may years. Although SMP is permanent, the colour pigment will fade over time and fading can differ from lifestyle choices such as sun exposure. A guarantee of 1 year is provided by JF Micropigmentation so any top ups in this time will be free. Top ups after the first year will be discounted and only one session is normally required to boast the strength again.
The hairline re-construction is the most important aspect of SMP treatment. We take into account your age, where the hair line will look most natural so that it suites your face and frame. It is very important not to start off too low with a hair line it is much easier to adjust and add to then remove.
No, the difference is night and day
· Microblading uses a manual tool made up of many little pins forming a blade
· Microblading creates paper like cuts in the skin which pigment then penetrates
· Micropigmentation does not cut or slice the skin so skin trauma is drastically reduced including bleeding during the procedure
· Micropigmentation deposits pigment into the skin like a tattoo but at a much shallow depth resulting in longer lasting results and less touch ups which equals less skin trauma
· Microblading procedures tend to be based on creating multiple strokes that must not cross
· Micropigmentation can create the illusion of a natural brow with minimum strokes that can intersect with each other
Some clients are able to maintain a longer length, particularly for women. However, if there is a strong pattern of hair loss or just not a lot of hair density left then the client is recommended to buzz cut in order to complete a shaved look. That can be a big step for some but from our experience the effect often takes years off someone in appearance.
Brow micropigmentation is intended to be semi-permanent lasting an average of 1 to 5 years. Yearly to 18-month treatments are recommended for oily skin to refresh and optimize cosmetic appearance. Normal to dry skin generally do not require yearly treatments. For good skin hygiene it is better to let the work fade to about half the intensity so that we do not over the load the area with pigment.
Treatment protocol is governed by allowing the skin to thoroughly heal in between treatments. The second treatment can be carried out after 8 weeks. Treatment cycle is 8 week, 8 weeks, 12 weeks and repeated as required We leave a longer time if the skin is slower returning to normal colour. New permanent make up procedure should not occur before 4 months after final treatment.
If it’s a fresh tattoo, the sooner you decide you want to start removal treatments the better. So, within 48 hours is ideal, though if the area has started to dry out and heal, we need to wait for the scab to naturally heal off, and then we can start treatments. Please never attempt any removal treatments yourself, and no picking! This will delay when we can work on you
There are 2 ways. You can either book a free consultation (lasts around 45 minutes) to discuss the best options for your eyebrow goals and draw up a mock version on your brows to go home or you can book a treatment without prior consultation and then you will be asked to send a clear close up picture of your eyebrows prior to procedure and fill out the relevant questionnaire before hand
Digital micropigmentation, unlike conventional tattooing, works in your skin at a very shallow layer. The pigments used are different and are created to fade. Also, everyone heals differently and oily skin tend to exfoliate the pigment quicker or disperse it slightly. The 2nd treatment is a perfecting session where any fading is reinforced, colour may be darkened and tweaks in shape or adding more is achieved. It is way easier to add to your brows than remove from your brows.
HEAL, FLAKE, FADE.is normal healing and this will be thoroughly explained to you at your consultation. Healing is a process that goes through several stage from darkening in the first 48 hours to mild flake and pigment looking like it’s gone to the very same pigment returning. This is all normal healing.
Essential! We will create your eyebrows but how you look after them in the following weeks can determine the final outcome. The number one rule is NO PICKING whatsoever. Picking traumatizes and reduces the effectiveness of the treatment and ultimately can cause scaring. Plus, we can tell when someone has picked their eyebrows during their aftercare period
You will be given a full aftercare kit and specific instructions all written out for you to refer to so after care is easy. For further details refer to the Cosmetic Micropigmentation page.
· Each procedure can take up to 3 hours and we will always book out that time for you. If you need to be somewhere that day it’s best to reschedule
· Your Brow Micropigmentation procedure begins with a series of measurements creating an eyebrow template -this can take quite some time
. We never move onto the next stage until you are happy with the shape
· Next, the area is numbed for approximately 30 mins or less dependent on the chosen numbing procedure
· Numbing cream is used throughout the procedure; however, skin type may affect the effectiveness
· Pigment colour will be chosen with you during the numbing process
· Then the actual procedure will begin and can take up to 2 hours to achieve the desired look. To create the optimum hair strokes, we work very very slowly and very lightly
· VERY IMPORTANT we create each eyebrow stroke slightly longer this is because the work will shrink as part of the healing process and the passage of time. We create beautiful long strokes so that in a year’s time they are not stubby little lines.
· Skin may be red and/or swollen after procedure
· Full after care kit and instructions will be provided
This is a semi-permanent enhancement to your natural brows not a permanent one. Because everyone heals differently; life styles, sun bathing etc micropigmentation is an art and not a science. This means for some even after your healed results you may still need to powder and/or pencil for a more dramatic effect
· Some residual swelling is normal for ALL procedures.
· As healing progresses the area may feel, dry, itchy, tender or slightly irritated. This is all 100% normal. DO NOT PICK.
· The color WILL fade/soften anywhere from 40% to 60%- this is normal
· Number 1 – trust the process
· Pigment gradually gets darker throughout the day reaching darkest level on Day 2
· Day 5 - 7 area may start to flake
· Day 8- 14 pigment continues to oxidize and settle in skin and can and will look like its gone – wait
· Day 15- 40 pigment starts to reappear but some areas may be patchy and strokes will look a lot softer in structure
· 7 to 8 week you are now ready for your 2nd perfecting appointment (again we block out and aim to anticipate another 2 to 3 hours appointment)
If you develop any of the following signs and symptoms:
Continued vibrant redness or swelling in the treated area, dermatitis, skin rashes, elevated body temperature, fever or grey, green, yellow discharge with or without odour, contact a physician immediately.
No, you do not need to; but just like a tattoo we do recommend if you are able take it easy for the rest of the day – please do.

· Absolutely no sweating exercises for 3 days
